Console Problems We Fix

A console that turns on but leaves the TV on a black screen usually has a broken HDMI port, which we replace by microsoldering. A console that runs hot, has a loud fan or shuts itself down gets a deep dust cleaning and new liquid metal or thermal paste.

We also repair disc drives and laser mechanisms that will not read a disc or have jammed, diagnose consoles that will not power on and repair their power supply and power ICs, replace Nintendo Switch screens and fix Joy-Con drift.

HDMI Port Microsoldering

When a PS5 or Xbox turns on but the TV shows no signal or a black screen, a broken HDMI port is the usual cause. The port is soldered to the console's board, so we remove the broken port and microsolder a new one in its place, with reinforced pins.

An HDMI port repair is usually done the same day, and it comes with our 60-day warranty on parts and labour.
