The symptom tells us where to look. A TV with sound but no picture, or with one half of the screen dark, usually has failed LED backlight strips. A blinking red light, a clicking sound or no power at all points to the power supply board, which we repair by rebuilding its capacitors or replace.

A TV that is stuck on the logo, keeps restarting or shows no signal from an HDMI input usually has a fault on the main board. We repair the main board and its HDMI input, or replace the board.

How a TV Repair Works

Bring the TV to our shop on 17 Ave SE. We diagnose it to find the faulty part, whether the backlight strips, the power supply board or the main board, and replace it. Most TV repairs take one to two days.

Every repair comes with a 60-day warranty on parts and labour: if the replaced part fails under normal use, we replace it. TV wall mounting is a separate service, with a page of its own.

Parts for Do-It-Yourselfers

Our affiliated parts warehouse, YYC Electronic Parts, sells TV backlight strips, power supply boards, main boards and T-Con boards, so you can buy the part and repair the TV yourself.

If you would rather not open the TV, bring it to us with the part you bought, and we install it.
